Any other Hamilton fans out there?? It’s my personal fave!!! You know that part, where, after Phillip’s deadly duel and Alexander and Eliza and their life basically fall apart? It’s one of the MOST intense parts of the musical…the tension is so palpable, the grief and sadness are too real- the audience is holding its collective breath and it’s all getting to be too much?? That’s when James Madison interjects “Can we Get back to Politics?” and Jefferson pleadingly responds “Please?!” Finally- that HUGE exhale occurs- with a little humor added in and The Election of 1800 swoops in to move the plot and emotions along??? Yeah… I kinda feel like that’s the space that Reggie and I were in at the time of this podcast recording we were finally able to exhale While we’ve only recorded three episodes since Reggie left this job, it had been a longgg month plus of high intensity and squirmy discomfort and icky uncertainty Then… we went to Disney World ... only the happiest place on the planet! where we were able to gain some much needed perspective, breath a little lighter and get back to (our style of) politics Ep 38: Back to Politics brings a lightness back to our episodes We’re back to the banter, back to the laughter and with new gained perspectives and insights.... we are getting back to ourselves!
